- Read the title and headings. Make prediction about the topic.
- Look over the questions quickly. Always read twice the section that is relevant to the question.
- Tasks in the Reading test can involve note taking, labeling, classification,and table/ flowchart completion.
- In relation to Reading, the Academic and General Training modules are different in terms of: the choice of texts: topic, text type, length, number, etc.
- Scribble or underline the important parts as you read.
- Follow the rubric and instruction carefully. If the instructions ask you to use no more than three words, follow it or else you will lose points.
- Be careful not to mix up True/False with Yes/No. These are considered by many to be the most difficult questions.
